lol, I've seen an effect like that before. If you get undressed and stand in water, you undies (and everything underneath them) vanish. It's hilarious.

Seems to be a model glitch not graphical - happens anywhere...

or, it's the way the model data is communicating with your video card. either way, it does look odd.
